2025年07月24日下午，北京科学中心与英国伯明翰博物馆进行线上座谈。此次会议邀请了伯明翰博物馆学习与研究主管克里斯·基迪先生和学习主管索菲亚·伯恩女士，以及北京科学中心相关业务部门的代表共同参与。本次会议旨在与探索创新中心交流科普工作经验，建立双方互通互联的友好合作关系。

On the afternoon of July 24, 2025, an online meeting was held between Beijing Science Center and Birmingham Museums. The meeting invited Mr. Chris Keady, Head of Learning and Research, and Ms. Sophia Byrne, Learning Manager, along with representatives from relevant departments of Beijing Science Center. The meeting aimed to facilitate an exchange of practical experience in science communication and to establish a friendly, cooperative relationship between the two institutions.

During the meeting, the project manager from Beijing Science Center presented a detailed overview of Beijing Science Center, covering its exhibition and display, science education, brand activities, international exchanges, and media communication. Following that, Mr. Chris Keady shared insights into Birmingham Museums’ work initiatives, particularly focusing on venue distribution, lifelong learning approaches, and workshop activities.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including science education workshops and international cooperation. Beijing Science Center extended a sincere invitation to Birmingham Museums to participate in international communication programs such as the 2025 Beijing International Week for Science Literacy. Mr. Chris Keady and Ms. Sophia Byrne both expressed strong interest in Beijing Science Center’s international outreach efforts and expressed their willingness to deepen collaboration, aiming to jointly promote the interconnectivity of science popularization resources.
