 Olaf McKay is the current Senior Director at ESPLORA. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining its reputation for excellence and relevance, and for the overall management aspects. An accomplished professional, with qualifications in both Hospitality Management and Business Management and Administration, Olaf has had a distinguished career in both the private and the public sectors, in such areas as technology development, telecommunications, environmental and greening projects, sustainable development and  digital economy. This year he has also been elected as Mayor of Malta’s Capital City, Valletta. His diverse expertise has enriched the senior management at ESPLORA. Olaf has a proven track record of fostering organisational success, while exhibiting leadership and strategic thinking.

Known as being a motivator of personnel at all levels, he has always manifested a strong team approach both within the institutions where he worked, and in close cooperation with relevant decision-makers, stakeholders and business leaders. Notwithstanding his high profile on the local senior management scene, Olaf has retained the integrity, humility and commitment that, together with his strong communication and interpersonal skills, are so necessary for the creation of a pleasant and productive work-environment for the staff under his directorship.
